Absences and Termination

Attendance for scheduled shifts is mandatory, and student employees should be punctual. If employees anticipate being late for work due to an emergency, or in cases of illness, they should contact their supervisor as soon as possible. If an illness lasts longer than one day, employees must call each day to report that they will not be attending work. Other time off, for whatever reason, must be approved in advance by an employee’s supervisor. Employees are responsible for securing any needed substitute.

Students are encouraged to give their supervisor at least a two weeks’ notice before ending their employment with the library
