Experiential Studio and Online Learning Supervisor

The purpose of this position is to manage the Experiential Learning Studio and to supervise the Online Learning production unit. The incumbent is responsible for the administrative and promotional portions of running the Experiential Learning Studio and for designing and producing educational online learning tools for information literacy skills.

What you'll do in this position: 

• Manage the daily operations of the Experiential Studio classes and workshops, including scheduling, training, maintaining, and assisting within the space as needed. 
• Hire, supervise, and train student employees.
• Serve on the Experiential Studio steering committee as a permanent member.
• Manage project storage for projects developed in the studio.
• Understand and effectively use elements of graphic design, media production, software integration, and teaching pedagogy to guide project creation.
• Coordinate style guides, storyboards, and script edits with supervising librarian.
• Produce information literacy tutorials based on sound educational theories and progressive technologies.

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

• A firm commitment to the mission of BYU 
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to effectively supervise student employees
• Project management experience, including Agile Project Management
• Proficiency with Adobe products
• Graphic, user experience, or instructional design skills

Preferred

• Master's degree in instructional design or related field 
• Library experience
• Familiarity with design thinking best teaching practices
• Familiarity with tutorial authoring software
• Familiarity with library research skills
