All employees must adhere to the University’s dress and grooming standards; failure to do so will result in termination.
Student employees dealing with the public are expected to have a higher dress standard than the University’s minimum standard and are not allowed to wear shorts, hats, flip-flops, open-toed shoes, crew-neck t-shirts (except library shirts), political buttons or similar campaign items. Shirts must be long enough to allow students to bend or reach, without being revealing. If any of these requirements are not met, the employee may be asked to clock out, return home to remedy the issue, and then return to work.
Student employees are required to wear their name tag in a proper way at all times when on duty (including while in the break rooms). Nametags ensure security and are a public service tool.
